Drakensberg

The Ukahlamba Drakensberg is a World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful parts of our country. We have been running hikes in this awe-inspiring part of the world since Spirit of Adventure began! Our experience in the mountains allows us to offer a number of hikes that are exciting, adventurous and safe. Take note of the following:

• Base Camp - Setup base in one of the many campsites offered by KZN Wildlife. Explore the beautiful Drakensberg by doing day hikes and returning back to base to spend the night in your tent.
• Multi-day - Enjoy the challenge of hiking into the wilderness, taking only what you need. Spend the night in a hut, a cave, or in your tent.
• Summits - If you are looking for a serious challenge, then to summit a peak is the adventure for you. The view from the top of the escarpment and the sense of achievement is something to behold!
• Presidents Award - Complete the requirements of the Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards by participating in one of the above hikes.

Choose one of the above hiking options and allow us to tailor make the experience to suit your needs. The outcomes of each of the above hikes is best achieved over a two night / three day period.
